Infestation

For those of you who don't know, I work very near to the Boise foothills. We are always finding wildlife around the station. i.e. rabbits, birds, quail, praying mantis, etc. I found this "little" guy wandering around my station the other night! I promptly put him in a plastic cup and took him to the office to show everyone. Naturally, I needed him to pose by this highlighter so you could understand the magnitude of his size. .. .. he was HUGE! I was tempted to leave him in the office overnight (underneath the plastic cup of course), but I started to worry about him escaping and seeking revenge for his entrapment. So, I did the humane thing and I let him go in front of the station. . . .. I can only hope that he does not make his way back inside!

Happy Birthday Dad!

It's my dad's birthday today and guess where he gets to spend the day?.....St. Als Hospital. That's right, he is awaiting a possible surgery on his shoulder. Dad was working out last night at the Asylum and during his 145 pounds push press somehow threw his shoulder out of the socket! From what I was told, he was very brave and "acted" like it didn't hurt. Anyway, I was able to visit him today and he seemed to be in good spirits ( which I am sure was because of the morphine) Anyway, I will be wishing my dad a safe and successful surgery today as well as a GREAT birthday!

It's Official

Okay, it's official...... this is my very first attempt at blogging. I am not sure if I will like it, or if I will even be good at it. I was inspired by my gifted SIL (sister-in law) Rachel and my brother Jason. They probably didn't even know I was reading thier blog, but it's hard not to because they are both so funny. Anyway, I think I will practice "posting" for awhile before I go public.

I would like to share a funny/scary dream I had last night. Our wedding date is rapidly approaching and there are still some details that I have not attempted to figure out. So here's the dream: Basically, the wedding is about to start but the following things have gone wrong
  • Rachel is not in the wedding because she has lost an abnormal amount of weight (??weird, I know)
  • Jason is visibly upset because Rachel couldn't be at the wedding
  • I forgot to schedule someone to do my hair (If you know me, than you realize how horrible that would be)
  • Randy, who will be marrying us, is late......very late
  • Randy arrives and tells me not to worry the cermony will be short..... 90 minutes (!!)
  • Randy proceeds to do a comedic routine for the wedding, including fake falls
  • It's time to walk down the aisle and my dad is nowhere to be found. Apparently, he had to go home because Nick D. was crying

Hang in there, I'm bound to get better
